Shortly after countries all over the world started shutting down due to COVID-19 I was contacted by a fellow composer about joining a group of composers from all over the world in a collaborative project called Para el Pueblo. I was honored to work with composers Emily Ta (New Jersey) and Uxío Darriba (Spain) to create 3 duets for cello and piano. My composition is titled The Inbetween in an acknowledgement a state of being in a transitional period in my life during quarantine as I sit waiting for the next chapter of my life to begin, and the transitional state that our country is in during the fight for racial equity and the end of police brutality.
